New alcohol resources in 5 community languages

The Department of Health, Victoria, has just released Cheers? Alcohol and your family, a collection of translated resources about alcohol and the family.

 

The alcohol information project, undertaken by Eastern Health—Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre, in partnership with the Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health, aims to provide community education on alcohol to particular language groups.


The information is provided in community language pamphlets and also as a poster.

The Hon. Mary Wooldridge, Minister for Mental Health, has written a letter [PDF: 111KB](new window) promoting the new resources and accompanying their distribution across Victoria.
 

Online versions are available now from the DrugInfo website. Print copies are being distributed throughout Victoria and will soon be available from DrugInfo.

DrugInfo seminar: Information and communication technologies (ICT)

To explore the role of ICT within the domain of alcohol and other drugs, DrugInfo, in partnership with Turning Point Alcohol & Drug Centre, will be running a seminar:
